About

Analytics we needed, so we built it

Mia Analytics started as the measurement layer behind our own products — and grew into a privacy-first alternative to the big trackers.

Every product we run needs to know the basics: how many people showed up, what they looked at, where they came from, and whether the moments that matter — a signup, an invoice, a subscription — actually happened. The usual answer is to bolt on a third-party tag and quietly hand your visitors' behaviour to an advertising company.

We didn't want to do that. So we built Mia Analytics: a first-party analytics service that captures pageviews and business events across all of our sites, hashes what it needs to, keeps what it's allowed to, and sells none of it to anyone.

What we believe

Measurement shouldn't cost your visitors their privacy

Counting visitors and understanding traffic doesn't require building a profile of a person. IPs are hashed with a per-site salt, a cookieless mode is one attribute away, and consent is respected before anything is stored.

Your data should stay yours

Mia Analytics is first-party and self-hostable. Events land in your database, under your control, with retention windows you set — not in an external graph you can't inspect or delete.

Analytics should never slow down the product

The browser snippet is tiny, async and framework-free. Server-side tracking is fire-and-forget with a short timeout, so measurement can never block or break the app it's measuring.

Part of the Mia Bazo family

Mia Analytics is one of several products under the Mia Bazo umbrella — built to the same brand and the same principles as Mia CRM (customer relationships, organised) and Mia Relay (verified calls and messages). They share a look, a philosophy, and a commitment to treating your data with respect.

Built on solid foundations

The service runs on ASP.NET Core and SQL Server, with a lightweight JavaScript snippet for the browser and a .NET SDK for server-side events. Geo and organisation lookups use MaxMind GeoLite2. It's the same stack we trust to run our own businesses on.
